We just received the Physiopedal for my husband who is 77 recovering from a lengthy stay in the hospital and a SNF for several months.

He absolutely loves the Physiopedal. I have been on a quest to find the perfect pedal exerciser which checks all the boxes. I wish I found this one first, it would have saved me many hours searching on Amazon and other retail sites. It also would have saved me time and miles re-packaging and going to the UPS store to return 5 other brands which did not work for him.

To follow…..why this device is perfect:
1-the big platforms/pedals with straps fit my husband’s size 15 EEE shoes. Furthermore, his feet don’t slip off the pedals. (Small feet will fit, too)
2-the pedal connections connect higher than any of the other brands we tried. This is important because my husband’s knees do not have full range of motion and bending them is difficult for him.
3-the pedal connections to the body are so much better than most of the other brands which are designed with a wheel that is supposed to follow in a track. In a couple of the brands we returned, the wheel did not stay in the track. Instead it escaped, scraping into the main body of the device.
4-the simplicity !! Probably 99 % of the world are not direction readers. Well, they can revel in their glory as they assemble and use the physiopedal. It was too easy. I am in the 1% who likes directions. So i peeked at them occasionally. No extra verbiage. Love that ! It took me about 3 minutes to assemble. I felt so smart !
5-when we used the other brands, the base would slide around so we had to shove it against a wall. Not this one. It is steady as a rock :)
6-portability. How nice that I can lift it without straining ! I am nearing my 8th decade and it was no problem.
7-having a remote control is nice so he doesn’t have to bend over to make the machine function.
8-speaking of the remote, it is wordless, uncluttered, and intuitive. Thank you ! as an added bonus, it magnetically connects to the display so it won’t get lost in transport.
9-the cord to the wall is 8-9 ft long which is helpful.
10-the speed is adjustable
11-it tracks the pedal cycles (how many times your foot goes around); and calories burned
12-the timer counts down on the display from any multiple of 10. That way you can see how much longer you gotta make it. (I do wish that they were increments of 5 bc my husband likes to go 15 minutes.).
13-the machine is extremely quiet. I’m not sure if I even heard anything.
14-the unit turns off by itself when the time you chose is up
15-you can use the motor assist, or if you have progressed in your therapy, you don’t have to activate the motor.
16-you can pedal forward or backward
17-it’s a cinch to detach and attach the pedals/handles
18-that’s right, you can exercise your upper or lower body by choosing the pedals for your lower body OR by using the handles to exercise your upper body
19-the physiopedal does not have a seat. Yay ! So many units I saw on Amazon were attached to a seat. NOT GOOD for someone in a wheelchair (which my husband is), nor for someone who might like to use it under a desk or while sitting on a couch.
20-the price is actually affordable, especially when compared to the unit my husband used at the SNF. This physiopedal unit is 1000’s of dollars cheaper than the latter. So a regular person can buy a device which has the same benefits as the unit at a SNF.
21-this unit solves a SNF problem. Since exercising with this unit or a similar unit benefits the body and mind so well, all the PT’s and OT’s at the SNF incorporated the workout with the SNF whoopee doo expensive pedaling unit in their TX plan. The problem, though, because their unit was so expensive, the facility was equipped with only 1 machine. Thus, the patient and therapist had to hope it was not being used when they needed it. Now, however, they can buy 1, 2 or 3 more machines which give the same workout, for a fraction of the price paid for their current machine.

25-NOBOL’s customer support can’t be beat. I called them before buying my husband’s unit to ask some questions. It is so nice to talk to a real person. After the sale I had a couple of questions. Again, they were there for us.

I am a paraplegic confined to a wheelchair. The PhysioPedal 2-in-1 allows for a controlled exercise routine from my chair so that knee and ankle joints and leg muscles get targeted work to improve strength , while enhancing both physical and mental health. Very highly recommend the PhysioPedal!
